Hello 2022
I pray y’all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We definitely did!
Things have been busy and we’ve added a new fuzzy member to the family. Meet Boo! She’s an Australian Cattle Dog that normally come in blue or red. They are herding dogs thus hanging out at your heels naturally. They are consequently nicknamed blue-heelers / red-heelers. Occasionally, a predominantly white one comes out and that’s what we got. Not an official name, but we refer to her as a ghost-heeler, hence the name. Cattle-dogs are very strong-willed and the first few months are critical to get them on the road to well trained.
Consequently, between having more than normal church stuff to work through (end of year finance / tax stuff, streaming tech update, etc.) and having Boo with us, the last month I’ve not gotten much done on the 2nd Volume of Luke. However, yesterday I did get back to it and anticipate a reasonably solid pace of completion from here.
For 2022, Lord willing, I’ll continue to edit and publish books from Joe Morecraft’s previously informally printed and never published material. There is content from other authors that I’m looking into publishing as well, presuming I can get them in a quick to publish form. I’m also contemplating doing a vid / podcast here at CC on technology. How to use it (practical) and why (Christian worldview) will be the main themes. I figure that the name of the effort here is Comprehensive Christianity, so going broader in content makes perfect sense. Also, I’m hoping that more regular content will also drive more traffic here such that this effort can be financially self-sustaining at a minimum vs. operating in the red out of my “hobby budget”. I don’t expect people to financially support something they aren’t getting any value from, so time for me to pump it up with more frequent content of value.
My career was a strange one that only Providence could have planned. The majority of it was spent working actively in technology from the mundane (train people on new software) to the more complicated (designing security products utilizing digital encryption technology). I’m a big user of technology, but realize it has drawbacks and hope to share and discuss how to find the right line without falling into the luddite ditch on one side and the tech-wreck ditch on the other.
Look for more frequent posts here and stay tuned for news should I launch into vid / podcasting.
